May 20 2010 meeting

Dear Friends,

The Gahanna Progressives will meet May 20, Thursday, 7:30 PM at the Sanctuary, 62 N. High St., Gahanna.
ONE WEEK FROM TODAY.

We will be hosting at this meeting, State Representative Nancy Garland's monthly town hall meeting for the public.
Democratic Representative Garland has made it a practice in her term to hold a meeting for constituents every month
in various communities of her district, Ohio's 20th as part of her goal of being 'the Listening Legislator'. May is Gahanna's turn.

Rep. Garland will tell us about new legislation she and Rep. Marian Harris (19th Dist) [Democrat also] will be introducing. One bill is about cyber bullying and the other is about healthy kids/healthy choices. She hopes to bring with her other speakers on these topics.

We all have lots of experience with elected officials who ignore voters after they are elected. As concerned citizens,
Progressives need to support office holders who ask us for our concerns.

Gahanna Progressive 'Potluck' gathering, Saturday, April 24th 4-8pm!

Calling all GAHANNA PROGRESSIVES

Plan on joining us on Saturday, April 24th at the Friendship Park shelter.
The shelter is reserved from 4 to 8 PM and we will eat at 5:00 PM

Please bring food and drinks to share plus utensils and plates for your party.

There is no formal program, and this is an opportunity to relax and socialize before getting organized before the November campaign.

Bring your PROGRESSIVE ideas and your PROGRESSIVE friends.

(We apologize if you received this notice more than once!)
